Chalata hain!!!
I
have some questions to ask to those who are crying foul over the drought in
Maharashtra. As a social responsibility which all farmers opted for crops which
require lesser water, who all gave up on sugarcane as it requires hell lot of
water? Which all politicians, bigwigs stopped the wastage of water in their
houses, gardens? Who all stopped using drinking water for washing their cars?
Which beer producing companies were denied water by the Government? Who all
shut off the AC of their cars & drive with the glasses down when it’s not
required; at least as a small contribution towards reducing global warming?
There are many places in Maharashtra where water is being theft directly from
the pipelines, thousands & lakhs of liters of water is wasted through
dripping pipelines. We have been wasting water through several such ways. Why
are we neglecting all this?? What did we learn from the last year’s mistakes
& what all correctives actions are taken by the Government?
What
has been done except for proposing no IPL in Maharashtra? Before IPL matches
too water was being sprinkled on the grounds in Pune, Mumbai, pitches were
being maintained & there have been domestic matches on those grounds. Then
why are we trying to prove that water is being used only for IPL? Save water,
save water… Common I can tell you very honestly that I save water, I do that
daily. There are many people like me who too save water. But what steps have
been taken by the government to supply that saved water to the drought affected
parts of Maharashtra? How long are our leaders going to play these dirty
political games of criticizing famous people, events & creating emotional
issues?
It’s
difficult to understand drought in Maharashtra. At least it’s for those who read
English newspaper with a sip of beer. Had they understood it, they would have
given up drinking beer; at least until the water scarcity is under control coz
the beer falling in their glasses is produced out of the water in
Maharashtra..!!!
Take
it if you think its right else keep your eyes closed… “Chalata hain”
